Spring 2009 ~ Photography teacher, Mrs. Sutter, and museum curator,
Mimi Van Deusen, worked together to create a project with students at
Potsdam High School's Advance Photography class to utilize the
museum archives and the students digital photography skills for a
little history and alot of fun for all to explore the changes in Potsdam
landscapes.
Students were assigned a collection of photographs and sent out on the streets to recreate the scene. The idea is to stand at the exact location getting the correct view in the image. The students did a great job!
Many thanks to Mrs. Sutter and her students and thanks to Dave Martin, the volunteer who scanned the 5,000 images in the museum's photo archives!
